First cast, white bucktail with a white swimming mullet on, huge fluke on.. About 25 inches, give or take an inch, was fighting like crazy, taking drag. From the 3-4 seconds I seen it it looked like my PB 6 lbs from boat. Well 3 feet from the water my ultra light test snapped(8 or 10 lb test, I think 10, casts far), losing the bucktail and gulp with it. I wasn't that annoyed then, but am ultra pissed now that I didn't catch it. My PB from beach is only 3 lbs and this would've challenged at least my 6 lber from boat. I would've released her, but would like the exact length, and don't think its too good she has a bucktail forever stuck on her, hopefully she lives. After that, I caught 3 more fluke, 16, 16, and 17.5 in an hour. It's crazy what a 3/4 ounce bucktail with 4cm swimming mullet does compared to a regular hook and spearing. The guys around me never caught a fish past 10 inches while I was there.
