Black Cloud (my Uncle Joe) and I were out at Gillkins this morning looking for anything that would bite. Well it did not take long till the rods started twitching. We had 2/0 hooks on as I thought many of the fish were small to begin with so use stuff that will catch smaller fish. Well that small fish that was hitting the hooks were Blow Fish. Almost every cast there would be one on and that is now all.
TAhat twitching also ment that the Kings were around as well. I did not have any smaller hooks as I still have not set up the beach buggie like I usually have it. My King fish hooks and fish bites were home in the garage keeping nice and dry. If you plan to go and wish to try your hand at the Kings all the tackle shops have them as it is the bait of choice.
If you like using the big stores like Dicks I am sure that Bob will chime in to let us know if Dick's carry them.
The flies today were almost non existent as the wind was nice and cool out of the SSE keeping those buggers down to a manageable amount and the water temp was in the low 60's. We here holding with 3 oz with hardly any wave action at all.
I am looking to get back out there once more this week like maybe Friday I hope.
I almost forgot to mention that the air stations at the Offices were not working. They had blue barrels over the hose stands. Air up at A7...
Happy Catching

I was in the same stretch of beach earlier this morning.
Had a few hits from kingfish and landed one. I was using Fishbites on a blowfish rig.
A word of caution - there are a lot of big holes on the beach right now that will swallow a truck. some from trucks getting stuck, some from people digging holes for bon fires.

Thanks for the info Chris. It is bad enough we still have debris on the beach now we are inundated with holes from people that have no clue of what can happen.
