Finally have a few days off next week, so i mentioned to my wife i was thinking of heading to ISBP to try a little surf fishing, her first question was whats the weather, i wanna go......ok might be worth some kitchen points for the fluking trip i haven't mentioned yet. My question is this, i am not familiar with ISBP at all, and am wondering how the swimming and fishing beaches are divided, i guess what i need to know is....is there a place where she can lay on the beach and i can fish? and if it is separated by a 100 yards or so, i wont complain clp..thanks for the help

There are 2 bathing beaches in the park. Those beaches are approximately half way into the park. You can drop her off at either one as there are bathroom facilities there and refreshments as well.
But she can go with you as she does not have to be fishing as long as you are. There are bathroom facilities in the larger parking lots all along the drive to A23. One is at A6 behind the air stations another is at A21. There are others but those are the ones I remember.
Good luck out there if you go. I will be out there as well with a newbie. If you see a maroon Expedition with a front cooler rack flag me down. It is always good to see members out on the beach.
Happy Catching
