Title: Dollar and a Dream 10/5
Post by: Dollar and a Dream on October 05, 2007, 04:04:02 PM
Hey all,

got down to the boat around 7am to find that I fogged in. Did some cleaning, waiting for the fog to lift and around 8:30 I decided to take a run outside. Visibility was poor but stayed close to the shore from Asbury down to Sea Girt and saw 1 blue take and not much else. Back at the dock by 10:30 to find 'nuts everywhere. After netting some for future trips, packed up the car and headed home in time for lunch with my son.
Good day all in all, Will try again next week. Good luck this weekend and stay safe.
Tight lines,
Brian

Hi Brian, thanks for the report.  I wanted to get out Wednesday.  Had a crew at the boat by 8am, waited around the dock till after 10.  Fog seemed to be getting worse as the morning went on.  Finally decided to pull the plug on the trip and went home.

Will be out Sunday, weather permitting.

The fog has been like that for the past several days.  Hopefully, we will have a change in the weather pattern and have the fog move out.

Thats October for ya.

It is the foggiest month of the year here along the coast.  Once the High moves trough we should see a slight change.

The weather pattern has been giving us some snotty seas and wind out of the NE.  This High and the LOW just to our south makes for a tight weather gradient that pushes the wind and water out of the ENE.

Like I mentioned the High is almost through so look for a change.  I also notices that the Barometer if beginning to rise which is another good sign.  Now if that Low would move further off shore we will be in for some good weather for a few days.

Happy Catching

Paul
