What a mess! Just saw a Military Fire Department Ladder Truck go screaming east on Rte 37! The 20+ knot southwest winds are not helping things. You can see it live on the SSP Earthcam.

The 20+ knot southwest winds are helping things.
Just to clarify. The winds are helping? Or did you mean they are not helping?
-
That's too bad. Hopefully nobody will get hurt.

This is so sad. They are also having water pressure problems from all the apparatus on site. They are trying to bring water in from the bay right now.
This site has updates and a lot of links.

May they all stay safe. Property can always be replaced.

Thhe winds are NOT helping they have made a fire break through the boardwalk itself adn are trying to keep the fire to the southern end of the boards. They are trying to keep it south of the Beachcomber. Right now the south end of the boards are totally gone. They are thinking it started in Knohrs ice cream stand. The Chief said he heard an explosion much like a LP bottle exploding.
Its one mess there right now. Plus there is the firefighters convention in AC so many members were down south.
This will be a big blow to the Seaside Heights as well as the Seaside Park where the fire started.
Yes water pressure is low and they have pumpers feeding 5" lines to help with that from the bay.
That is all I have for now...

Saw it on the 6:30 news. And I could see the smoke from this side of the bay.
Just sad. :-\

Heartbreaking....I saw some of the footage when it started and it just got bigger and bigger. So sad. How much can a community endure. Just when they thought they may have had a fighting chance to come back from Sandy, they get hit with this. I feel so bad for them.
