Title: any ideas for new trolling rod/reel

I looking to get some new gear for some trolling for stripers without breaking the bank any ideas????

What type of trolling are you planning on doing? Trying to pull wire or braid/mono? Umbrella rigs and bunker spoons deep or stretches and tubes shallow, or both? 

Something like this should do the trick for most applications. Be able to handle anything you could wanna pull for bass, including lead core or wire line with heavy lures. Not the hugest fan of penn rods as a rule but for the price it seems like a nice setup
