Title: Long day on the water !
Post by: hareball on October 06, 2007, 09:14:21 PM: Today Capt. Mike and I had Capt. John and his Father in law Nick on board.

We all met at the Boat at 5:30am and headed towards the Inlet in very thick fog. We ended up joining a fleet of boats inside the Inlet and began fishing there a few hours while waiting for the fog to burn off. We boated a few King Fish and threw back several 12" and smaller.

Once the fog lifted we headed for the off shore and Capt. Mike began his search for a good spot to anchor. Once anchored it was non stop Sea Bass action with some small blues mixed in. Alot of throwbacks but enough keepers to keep us all happy. Capt. John hooked up a really nice Sea Bass over 4 pounds. t^

On the way in we stopped at some Lobster Pots and landed a few Mahi. The mahi were busting water like crazy and then we saw why, a 5' Mako busted the surface and crashed back into the Ocean!!!

Went to Capt.Mikes house for mahi dinner tonight and it was great TT^

Left my camera home. Capt. John and Nick had thier camera though...will have to see if they can send some pics.
