Title: drifting eels,

Maybe some one out there can give me the heads up on proper technigue for drifting eels  as far as rigging up etc,,,,,?Don't know whether to use fishfinder rig set -up or what because I'd like to hit the rocks but not sure how to rig up porperly,Thanks!!!!

I use a 1 oz egg sinker,bead,barrel swivel and 3 ft floro with a 7 opticircle hook..I don't know if this will work the rocks because of snags but it works great in the rips. and you can go light on the wieght. the live eel will pull it down...good luck

Three way swivel, 3 ft leader on the hook, 12-28" dropper loop off the one swivel to the sinker. Sinker can be from 1-6 oz depending on location, depth, etc.

fishfinder rig, hook the eel through the lip, enought weight to hold bottom.

nothing last weekend, we didnt' anchor up on it too long because of the fog and other boats hauling ass at 20 + mph and came very, very close to us. So, I can't give you a complete accurate report for that spot.

Put a Nail through their head into a board. Cut around the base of the head with a razor knife, pull the skin back with a pair of pliers. Cut them in chunks throw them in the frying pan with a little olive oil give them color, and put them in gravy. ;D
