I am on a NS PB from PP mailing list. I got the tuna report yesterday for their last 2 trips. I need help on one of the pics that was included. What are they using the thing that looks like a bench for? Thanks.

Looks like a Tuna Caddy. Shove your freshly caught tuna in there and do you knife work. This way you have the tuna under control and not beating itself on the deck. I'm just guessing of course but I bet I'm close. I call trademark on the Tuna Caddy name!

t^...Sounds about right.

The key here is your not on your hands and knees while cutting your tuna... t^ Seen them on many a boat...Great idea..

I beg to differ.
actually that contraption is a Japanese sushi roll shaping device. It's called the "super sushi shaper deluxe 2000" by Wham-O
If you shape the fish for sushi while it's just caught and in tact it brings huge amounts of money at market. And it's much easier for the chef at the restaurant to prep the fish. ::)
