Title: Is any one going to try and fish this weekend?
Post by: Fightin Irish on November 01, 2013, 10:51:04 AM
Does anyone think it's worth getting up tomorrow. How rough is it going to be. They say 3-5 ft for Sat.  If it is a roller and not a sloppy mess I might have to give it a shot early Saturday morning.

Windguru shows a nice window between 1AM and 1PM tomorrow before it cranks back up again in the afternoon.  Wave period @ 9sec so should be doable.

Will be out in the AM, if it looks $hitty out front will head into the back to have a look see.

I am going to give it a shot on Saturday.  Most likely I will bring some eels and try the channel edges if I can't get outside.  I'll be on 68.

The farther north you are running out of the better the conditions will be.  The winds won't kick up until later on Saturday.  Small Craft Advisories still on the ocean for seas 4-5 feet at 9 seconds.  Models are suggesting 3 feet near Sandy Hook.  Have to take the northeast wind into consideration and how quickly the oceans recover from the gales today.  The Bay is definitely not looking bad at all...SCA's expired, north wind 5-10 knots until later Saturday/Saturday Night with seas 1 foot or less.

If you really want to get out, it is worth taking a look in the morning and having a backup plan!!

Like a lake today.  Y'all missed out on a nice boating day, not neccessarily a good fishing day though... ;D
