Title: Getting in the Holiday Spirit
Post by: harbison on December 09, 2013, 02:05:12 PM
clp   Getting in the Holiday spirit. We are America...We are FREE!
For many the Winter Holidays are by far our favorite times of the year. First comes the twelve days of Christmas, followed by the celebration of a wonderful New Year.
For most of our great country we enjoy the stunning beauty of snow covered landscapes:

We in Florida enjoy our sunny days and our white sun bleached beaches:

Customer appreciation day at Hubbard's Marina begins our celebration. Let's have a party!
Talk about something different, check out our chocolate covered 'cherry' mouse:

Mr. Roger Ewart (R), Hubbard's Office Manager, & Mr. Joseph Diebold (L), love the taste of fresh mice:

As much as Joe likes mice, he would rather catch giant mahi & win valuable prizes:

Gabby is a real fisher-girl. It was an honor to have my picture taken with this beautiful young lady:

For those of us who love to eat, the hit of any celebration is the food. Captain Mark Hubbard serves smoked to perfection  grouper and amber jack:

Roger welcomes Tammy, chef on the Florida Fisherman,  to a real feast:

Smoked fish, BBQ ribs, and mice were just the beginning. We even enjoyed a tray full of Georgia pecans:

slt    clp   We had a blast. I must admit I love Florida. We just had a severe cold front hit us. It got all the way down to 60 @ night. Our Bucks beat Buffalo Sunday. It was 80. Can't help but wonder what it was like when the Bills landed in NY.

Best to our many Northern friends. Wish we could send some of our 80+ degree weather your way. I have never been that far North in December. I presume it's a little cooler than Florida?  Bob
