Title: 18 day CA long range yellowfin tuna fishing story
Post by: njbob49 on February 26, 2014, 12:51:56 PM
One of the writers for the Fisherman Magazine just spent 18 days on the Excel from San Diego on a long range tuna fishing trip.  He wrote a daily story with pics and videos about his experiences.  You have to go to the bottom of page 2 for the first report.  It does take a while to read and watch it all.  I have not finished reading it yet, but did learn the Excel holds 28,800 gallons of diesel, a ton of live bait and did see a guy throw what looked like a Penn International into the ocean as we was getting spooled by one of the big tuna.   LOL  clp
