This was a zero plan fishing trip with my kid. Had no idea where we were going to go, but figured on burning some 2 stroke oil and covering some ground.
Mussel beds off West Bank, CH channel, down the beach, moved offshore, up to Rockaway. Nothing but shorts and small doggies.
Settled in between the channels and finally (accidentally.. ;D) found a small snag that had the right fish on it! Picked thru short fluke and c-bass, a few more doggies and skates. Put 4 20-22" keepers in the box. All bait today, strips worked best and couldn't get the BT's working at all.
Covered close to 50 miles total according to plotter...so mission accomplished..
