Title: A better day of fishing in So. Fl
Post by: Takes Prizoners on September 11, 2014, 11:17:44 AM
Wanted to go out last night and do an all nighter but our old bones and my eyes were tired so we stayed home.  Went out this morning at 6 for the dawn bite. Caught some sardines and caught blue runners all morning til the bait bucket was empty.  Started tossing the sabiki again and snagged a nice fat mullet.  Hooked him up and casted it out about 100' from the pier.  30 seconds later. BAM!!!!! hook up and fish starts pulling drag. Sent me for a 200' run around the pier ducking under and jumping over lines. I round the corner of the pier and I pull up a nice lil bonita.  Once I get mine up, another guy hooks into one but gets 1/2 eaten by something bigger.  Hope the bite continues into the night
