With the ocean conditions not the best, AGAIN fcp and after taking our licks last week only to catch short fluke, Cath and I headed up north on the Big D to Bulls Island State Park. The river was Gin clear with lots of bait fish in the water which made for a tough bite. Only 1 fish made its way into the boat which turned out to be my Personel Best Smallmouth a nice chunky 4 pounder and to top it of it smacked a top water popper. Nice day on the water a little more bite action would have been nice but thats just a bonus! t^

Nice Skip. They still got that wing dam upriver a lil bit from the ramp? Man we were some DF's back in the day, we'd rip thru the weir on standup skis, pullin' tricks an generally pissin' people off- amazing we didn't die.

Warren no wing dam but a good set so shallow rapids. The guys with Jet boats can get through it! t^
