Looks good and your way ahead of schedule on the winter projects. I have a few rods in the corner of the basement ready to be rebuilt over the winter, and a few more that need minor work. Just need time...any day now... aaaany day... Its on the long list of things to do.
Good Luck with your project, you are off to a great start.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. First rebuild so far but we have a few more that need work. The wife is already asking for her own rod.

I'm taking my time doing this rod, trying to cover a lot of sins.

Today was a good day for working on the butt end section of the rod I have been repairing. I have filled in all of the voids and pits in the cork and sanded the handle and fore grip into a smooth finish just have to seal the cork with cork sealer and the rod is done. Next project is a older bait casting rod and then a older Boat Rod or Jigging Rod,then hopefully I can start on my wife's PINK ;D ::)bait casting rod. It's going to be a busy winter.
