NEW BUOY: NDBC station #44091 Barnegat Bay was established 15nm east of Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey, earlier this month and will fill a gap in the East Coast buoy network. Previously, the nearest buoys to the Jersey shore were the Delaware Bay buoy, 90nm SSW, and the Texas Tower buoy, 55nm ESE of the new station.
