Ran out with the Down Deep crew today on an open blackfish trip. Big crowd with some sharpies aboard. Started deeper today and had some life right away but mostly shorts. Picked up and went shallow and bounced around 4 or 5 different pieces trying to get a steady bite going but it was more of a steady pick at each spot of keeps and shorts. Stayed out till 4 trying and the last couple of pieces produced a couple nicer roasters. Very light scratchy bite that you had to have patience with today. Big fish was just about 8 lbs but mostly 3-4lb fish with a couple 5s and a 6 thrown in....cold ass north wind all day but nice conditions!
