Title: Boat Land Transport Calculator
Post by: IrishAyes on February 17, 2015, 08:58:51 AM
Have you ever wondered how much it would cost to have your vessel hauled to Florida or even home for the winter? Use this calculator to get a ball park idea for land transportation costs to move a boat from point "A" to point "B".

Plug in your info, don't forget to use the slider for the distance, and you can get a 'general' idea of the cost to transport your vessel.

$8000 seems very inaccurate for my old boat.  I was quoted $1300 from somerset to palm beach.  Another fishing buddy I have down there was quoted $1200 last year for a similar boat to what I had. His was out of Mastic LI, NY.

When the time comes for my retirement in Florida, I'll either tow my boat down there myself, or sell both   the truck and the boat, then buy a new one down there. I've got a few years left to decide.

Joe,

I am having it done right now.  Purchased a 25 World Cat in Florida, had a trailer built and it is on its way up to NJ.  I received prices between $1500 to $3000.  It has 8.5 beam.

Nice Ken. Was this calculator anywhere in the ball park of what you paid?

Good luck with the new ride. It will look good on the island.  t^

The calculator is off.  I paid about half of what the calculator was estimating.

The company I used was Smittys Hauling.  The guy was Great to deal with.
