Fluke Remains pretty much the same....
Sea Bass becomes a total hell of a joke....
nothing about the striped bass regs helps the biomass or breeeder stock due to a stupid new "bonus" tag system that can be used at any time instead of being actually used as a 3rd or "true bonus " fish.

I'm betting there is no quota when you buying the fish. Only the free fish have a quota. nosmly

Yep, you're probably right Phil.

Actually, the fish we are 'buying' is New Jersey's commercial allotment. As there is no commercial fishing for striped bass in NJ, the powers to be gave the recs the commercial quota in the means of a 'bonus' fish so NJ would not loose that quota to the other states. t^

The Bonus Program fish never had to be your third fish. Common misconception apparently.
It was explained to me by people in the know.....the program is a bonus, not the fish.
It only becomes an issue, or more noticeable at least, now that that fish is of a different size.

when does the Striped Bass Regulations take effect?
-
After it is signed by the governor.
