Looks like this will be the 2015 Regs but I have not had confirmation on this yet.

Fluke - Season = May 22 - Sept. 26

Striped Bass - No closed season on ocean
               Limit and Size = 1 fish @ 28"-43"
                                1 fish over 43"
     Bonus tag-Until Aug 31 = 1 over 28"
               Sept. 1-Dec 31 - 1 fish 24" - 28"

* Bonus tags have no order in use.

Seabass - May 26 -June 30 - 15 fish @ 12.5"

          July 1 - July 31 - 2 fish @ 12.5"

Fluke Remains pretty much the same....
Sea Bass becomes a total hell of a joke....
nothing about the striped bass regs helps the biomass or breeeder stock due to a stupid new "bonus" tag system that can be used at any time instead of being actually used as a 3rd or "true bonus " fish.

I'll bet they sell a hell of a lot of Bonus Tags this year.

I'm betting there is no quota when you buying the fish. Only the free fish have a quota. nosmly

Actually, the fish we are 'buying' is New Jersey's commercial allotment. As there is no commercial fishing for striped bass in NJ, the powers to be gave the recs the commercial quota in the means of a 'bonus' fish so NJ would not loose that quota to the other states.  t^

The Bonus Program fish never had to be your third fish.  Common misconception apparently.
It was explained to me by people in the know.....the program is a bonus, not the fish.
It only becomes an issue, or more noticeable at least, now that that fish is of a different size.

Which has to be done by end of April I think.  Maybe mid May.
