Title: Belford stripers
Post by: Dalejam on April 17, 2015, 10:22:51 AM
So the weather report for tomorrow is outstanding👍.
So the water should warm up and as long as temps don't drop low today the fishing should be good. I am going out tomorrow morning early so when the sun pops its head over the horizon I intend to be on the water.

So my fellow kayak fisherman give me yell if your going out tomorrow in that area we can share info.

I understand clam is the bait of choice anyone know differently.

Be safe a happy fishing

So I got out early 6:30am went out of Belford. I was launching with about 15 other kayakers. So as soon as I got out and I was able to put the fins in I peddled love the new kayak. As for the fishing I only seen a few schools of bunker, I mean few. Marked some fish in 5 feet of water but no takers. Was out to 26 feet of water back down to 5 feet. As I passed othe takers they all said the same thing no takers. Only one guy I spoke to had one short. I drowned some Clam through some swim baits, even through some top water plugs. So after being out here till 12:30 I came in and went home. May not have caught any fish but I had a good time trying .

I was talking to a great kayak fisherman, he brought up one thing i did not really think about. I am a weekend & vacation saltwater fisherman.i live a hour away from the salt .i would love to catch a striper every time i go out but that does not happen.
But being a fisherman i enjoy the fact of just getting out and doing what i love the most, fishing. I maynot get a striper but i sure do have fun trying,

Next weekend ill be back out unless the bite is hot then i will be sick pawle

Be safe

Well The thrill of the hunt is what's important. And if you hook two at the same time, just get down the dry torgias. Use em like a sled driver.  TT^

Going out right now Take care gents. And Ladies.

Cheers M8's
