Two dates for Basic Skywarn Spotter Training have been posted in Cumberland County and Sussex, Delaware. These classes are for those residing in the NWS Philadelphia Forecast Area and excludes some Northeastern NJ Counties (which fall under the NWS NYC).

Again Hi Matt. I was thinking about getting back into it again after being I had to put many thing on the back burner. I have the equipment for the communications end of it as I was the Acting Communications Coordinator for Emergency Management out at Miller Airport. So I saw the May 28 date and thought it would be great to get back in on a low level and see where it leads again.

Hi Paul! Good to hear from you. Hope all is well. Skywarn is so basic, which I am sure you know. However, it is useful and a way for weather enthusiasts to volunteer. The program through NWS PHI is very elementary. I just took an Advanced Class online through NWS Norman Oklahoma and they covered mainly severe weather and tornadoes for chasers.
