East wind combined with incoming tide made for a fast drift on Romer Shoal. Plenty of short action with one keeper Fluke @ 18” for me as we drifted West as far as #4 Chapel Hill Channel. Getting tired of being beat up with the increasing SE wind Tom made a move to the shadow of Sandy Hook near #13 Sandy Hook Channel. While drifting the channel near to slack tide we each picked up a keeper @ 18”.Headed back through a rough bay at noon with our three keepers. There were no doggies, skates or yellow-eyed demons caught. The parking lot for private boat owners was nearly empty this morning at Atlantic Highlands Marina. Pete
