I went up to the Pequest fish hatchery with my buddy Nick and had a okay day. I used single egg patterns, sucker spawn, and a couple of my own steelhead looking nymphs (basically bright, flashy, and crazy looking). Its always fun catching fish on your own flies and especially your own pattern. I decided to go light with my gear and went with my 3wt setup. We caught 20 some trout, with the majority of them over 14in which makes for a good fight on the 3wt. My next post in this section will be after thanksgiving when I go home to Pittsburgh (go steelers) and head up to Erie for some steelhead fishing.

Nice work guys,
3wt., I think I forgot how that feels when I use at least a 9 weight forward line for the surf most of the time.
That reminds me I have to get new line for the spring.
Happy Catching
