Picked up some clams and a few green crabs and left the marina with hopes of doing a little bottom fishing. The east wind and outgoing tide made for a sporty ride in Sandy Hook Channel. Soon the yellow flag was raised and I carefully turned around and started to troll for bass in Raritan Bay. Tried spoons and shads without a hit, then I put out a Mojo rig that I won a few years back at the banquet. That seemed to do the trick, I put an 18#er in the box. Next pass I got a 16# fish that was released. I gave Eddie a call but by the time he joined me it shutdown. Dropped two more and that was it for me. Headed in to the dock about 1130.
