went out today on the golden eagle, beautiful day, seas were like a lake with no wind in the morning, started fishing right out the inlet with a steady pick of blues for about an hour or so, finally a few stripers were picked up on the boat all in the 24-28 inch range, real nice fat fish. action died down in the late morning until when i picked up my keeper striper which measured 35 inches ... nice solid fish. later in the afternoon we moved up off the red church area ( i think anyway , there was low visibility) and moved into some massive schools of fish, the first drift produced keeper stripers for almost everyone on board. seas kicked up a little bit with the wind in the afternoon but all in all it was a great day on the water, keeper stripers, and all the giant blues you could ask for.
