Another unsettled weekend with rain chances both days. Saturday will have widely scattered to more widespread rain in the afternoon, with scattered showers possible earlier and then later in the day. Showers will continue through Saturday Night and Sunday. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with overnight lows in the 40’s and 50’s. The entire weekend will be breezy at times. Water conditions will be mostly cautious. Rivers and bays will see some times of good conditions. Inshore ocean waters will be cautious with winds to 35 knots and seas 8-10 feet. Midshore to offshore will have winds to 40 knots and seas to 12-15 feet making cautious to hazardous conditions. Small Craft Advisories and Gale Warnings are probable. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious. Winds will gust 25-30 knots with surf heights to 8 feet. Water temperatures are steady in the 50’s and 60’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 5-9/15.
High pressure will build into the region tonight and influence our weather through Friday. A low pressure system will develop over the southeastern United States late Friday, crossing to the south and east of our area over the weekend. Surface high pressure will then build across the region early in the week but unsettled weather will remain due to an upper level low across the Mid-Atlantic.
Next week looks more settled right now with rain chances on Monday, clearing out and dry for Monday Night and the rest of the week. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s inland with 60’s and 70’s at the shore. Water, surf and beach conditions inshore will be mainly good through Thursday. Thursday could see some gustier winds and seas and possibly into Friday. Midshore to offshore will be borderline to cautious most of the week.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
