Title: GAMBLER-- DRepoay and Night Fishing Reports
Post by: Capt Bogan on June 24, 2016, 12:29:43 PM
Yesterday fishing conditions were tough with almost no drift all morning and afternoon. We managed to catch some shorts along with a few keepers up to 8 lbs but it was a struggle to try and get away from all the skates. Today the action was much better since we had a nice breeze that was pushing the boat at 0.5 knots, so we were able to cover more ground. We caught more shorts and more keepers up to 6.5 lbs. Along with the fluke were catching we caught some red hake, sea bass (which have to go back since they are out of season), sea robins, small sharks, and sundials.

Last night we were out in search of stripers and although we were able to catch some menhaden and read stripers we could not get them to bite. We will be out again tonight and Saturday for stripers from 7:30PM-12:30AM and hopefully things will turn around.

The weather looks good for this weekend, come on down and catch some fish!
