Did a half day trip today. Waited for Kevin D and Huey to get off of work. Met Andy at the dock.
Headed out the Shark River inlet and turned to port. Headed east and stopped a quarter mile from the three mile line. Snagged some bunker and sent them down.
Andy was first to hook up. Nice thirty-three inch fish. Next was Huey. As Huey was fighting his fish I hooked up. I cranked the fish three quarters of the way in and it pulled the hook. Felt like a huge fish (every fish that gets off is huge, isn't it? 5hrug ;D). Huey's fish, a 42"er, went in the box, . Huey hooked up again and put most of the fish in the cooler, Fish was 45" (35#)and the 120 qt cooler was a bit too small for the fish as it's tail was hanging out of the top of the cooler.
Kevin boated our last bass of the day, close to 40". We determined that we had enough meat in the box and decided to release her to fight another day.
Hopefully back at it Wednesday.
