Thank you for contacting the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). The Double Creek dredging project will not be able to start this year, because the final date to begin work has already passed due to the shutdown. Given the restrictions on the project from the Department of Environmental Protection, we can only begin work next fall. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the office of Community and Constituent Relations at (609) 530-2110.

Thank the lord they raised the fuel tax by $.23 on the water. That'll fill in the potholes I've been running into on the way to the fishing grounds.
