Overall, not a terrible week for weather, but another cautious week for water conditions. Monday and Tuesday Day will be dry with showers for Tuesday Night and Wednesday Day, then dry conditions for Wednesday Night, Thursday, and Friday. Highs will range from the 50’s to the 60’s with overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Water conditions will be mixed from good to cautious for rivers and bays, cautious for inshore ocean waters and cautious to hazardous for offshore waters. Small Craft Advisories are likely. Winds will gust to 30 knots and seas could push 7 feet inshore and 11 feet offshore. Surf and beach conditions will be cautious most of the week with gusty winds and surf heights to 4-8 feet. Water temperatures are in the 50’s and 60’s with ocean waters just dropping down into the upper 50’s this last week. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-3/15
High pressure centered around Lake Ontario this afternoon will sink to the south and it is forecast to continue influencing our weather into Tuesday. A cold front approaching from the northwest is expected to arrive on Wednesday with another stronger cold front anticipated for Friday. High pressure should build into our
region from the northwest and west during the weekend.
The weekend looks dry but chilly with highs in the 40’s and 50’s and lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions are looking cautious right now.
The Tropics are quiet still.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
