I believe so far this year 2017, Your allowed 1 giant Bluefin per year . That's recreational, charter and head boats.

Does this mean now they cannot fish for bluefin until 2018? It all seems so backward. What will they do to support their families? Perhaps run charters for fluke and flounder in NJ?  ovrbt I know the boat and house payments don't stop.

Add in the global demand for yum yum yum and these fish are doomed.
