My friend and I (and about 70 other guys) fished aboard the Dauntless out of Pt. Pleasant today. Pulled up a bunch of Ling,a few eels and Bergals mixed in. Then tried for Cod. A few came up, but not on my line. Next we went jigging for Mackerels. Got about a dozen, and a few nice Herring, all to become bait sometime in the future. Wishing I bought that smoker I've been wanting right about now. bngh Since SantaFish did'nt bring me one, I guess it's time to place my order. <'((((><

The herring were right on the beach today Dude. Tons of them with a small pod of humpback whales in the area as well. Cool Stuff.

We were on the same trip. The Captain moved around a lot to keep us on the ling. The boat was crowded but what did we expect with warmer weather and vacation week. The macks were a bonus.

Funny what the sun does. I fished on the NK III on Wednesday and we had about a dozen anglers and the Dauntless had about 20. Conditions were great, but the drizzle and clouds kept the crowds away. Hopefully some hangovers will keep the crowds lower on Tuesday!
