My grand son is 6 now and very eager to get out. Had him out Saturday in the Toms River. Did not catch anything but he saw stripers being caught and now can not wait to go again. We are going to try this Wednesday at the top of the river at the park in South Toms River. Wish us luck.

Post by: ped579 on March 20, 2023, 04:30:31 PM: Hi Rod. We have been back a few times and it is one of our favorite places on earth. Especially for fishing. But we have not been back in a couple of years. But that is okay.

I have a new focus and that is to teach my 6 year old grandson fishing tactics. He is doing pretty good in the casting category but I showed him how blood worms can attach it freaked him out. LOL. But that was Saturday and he keeps asking when we are going out again. It looks like that might be Wednesday. This time I will bring more of my stuff and see if we can latch onto a Striper or two.

Looking forward to post more starting this year with more shore fishing reports, tactics and fishing lure choices.

Haha yup, I was 14 when that was taken. I'm 32 now. Hard to believe.
