Title: Thursday May 5th Striper report
Post by: kpcoe on May 05, 2022, 07:42:10 PM
Out the back at 7 with buddies Cigar Joe and Big Chris, was happy to see boats lined up in back bay.   Within minutes we were into some beautiful keepers with limit by 8:15?. Played catch and release with fish of all sizes.  As usual found better action away from fleet.  Some real quality beautiful fish.. Joe hooked up on a big one that somehow managed to get about 4 hooks in her on a 9er rig?..we were working hard to get her unhooked and definitely wasn?t looking good for her?. Joe worked on her over 4 minutes back and forth over side of boat, wasn?t looking good at all?.. finally some life and off she went?. To fight another day.  Headed in by 12:30 with over 25 stripers landed.  Absolutely beautifully out as we were heading in?..thinking the outgoing was going to be bass crush with lots of bunker around. Good luck, get out while the gettings good!

Thanks for the report. Things are on fire up there. Can't wait for them to hit the Shark River area.
