I don't have a color fish finder but I heard that they are much better then the black and white ones. What is the difference? I have the garmin and it actually shows a fish shaped symbol and the depth that its at. How does it get any easier then that. What does the color finders tell you that others don't.

Color gives you a greater screen definition, making fish and structure pop out in different shades of color for easier identification, along with showing a better description of the bottom composition, Not that I think all that is a big deal for me. My new garmin is in color ( yet to be installed) and it's only the color model because they were out of the black and white.
