I think I am going to get one for when I boat alone or with my son.
VERY reasonable $275 and even I can install in minutes.

Especially good since 99% of us never use the kill switch. Now you can do it wirelessly.
All reports I have heard so far have been very positive.
-
Looks good, Mike. As you said, easy to install and convenient to use.
-
And not too expensive.
I don't plan on falling out of my boat, but then again, who does?
I will also be wearing one of those fanny pack type belts with an inflatable life preserver (because I won't wear a regular one) when fishing solo or when just my son and me.
-
Good thinking Mike, as I know your family does not want to loose you neither do we or anyone out there. Looks like a great product. Thanks for the find.

Cool product, worth some consideration. t^ <'((((><

Nice Find Mike, t^ Great Idea
-
looks good, but do you have a kill switch on the boat already.
-
Yep, this connects to it an automatically (and wirelessly) kills the engine for you without having to use the VERY restrive lanyard.
This isn't a kill switch, it works with the one you already have.
Did you look at it?
-
good deal.. I took a glance, didn't get a chance to read the entire thing, baby was crying..
-
finally got a chance to watch the video.. Looks great. A little pricy, but to save a life, its worth it. I would like it more for the passengers. As an operator, the likly hood of you, the driver falling out should not exist, but having passengers fall out when your not looking sounds like a safer bet. If you, the driver, falls out of a boat while in operation, then you shouldn't be behind the wheel..
-
275 is not too bad a price for something like that.
Found a guy in FL body today after finding his boat with no one on it few days ago.
-
its definatly worth it if you have kids on the boat. There is too many things to pay attention to while driving, that product give you one less thing to worry about.
-
Yep, i would just be worried about my son if the boat were moving, I fel off and it continued to move.
He will be trained on how to use the VHF DSC. I will wear my fanny pack inflatable life preserver, he will be trained to call my pops if I fall out so he can tell him what to do and then this to shut the engine off.
Also an advantage with the Johnson engine I have is the engin can be started without the kill switch connected.

Mike
He is old enough and a sponge for knowledge, Let him watch you as you explain what your doing, let him do it with you by his side again , and again. See about getting him his boating certificate. Nothing is the best teacher then experince. plus it will keep his mind off of being sick TT^
-
Have to be 13 I believe to get boating cert. He is only 10.
This years plan is to get Fishinfool to learn to drive boat, etc :)
