Title: The Culver Lake Jig Berto Sat Feb 2nd Report
Post by: Art Berkman on February 04, 2008, 09:04:44 AM
Best day Ice fishing ever   TT^

Arrived at Culver Lake at 10:30 & we decided to see how safe the ice was.The day before Sussex had Sleet & later in the day it was all rain.Pulled into Joe's drive way & it was a sheet of ice.We went to the back yard of Joe's house and I stepped onto the ice.Steve said Art what do you think ? I said it's safe  ;) We got back to Steve's truck and took the short ride for Bait.Went back to Culver lake and Steve drilled 9 holes. We put 9 tip up's out and within seconds the first flag went up.After awhile it got silly and I needed a change of pace.I decided to start jigging with a 1/4 oz Silver Kastmaster and the Perch were all over it.At 2 pm we decided it was time to pack it in & grab some lunch. We were the only guys on the lake and boy did we have a blast !

Nice fish in that lake. I lived one lake up from there (kittatiny).

mboy, I have friends that eat pickerel. The debone it as much as they can, throw it into a food processor and grind up the small soft bones and make "Pickerel Cakes" out of them.
