Hello Yall, :P Im at my parents house in Camden North Carolina. It was too windy today to fish the chesapeake Bay bridge and tunnel in Virginia. 25 to 35 mph gusts. >:(. So Instead we trolled for stripers in the Albemarle Sound which is in dads backyard. The water temp is 49 to 51 deg. The water is brackish and is connected to the inland waterway thats heads north of Elizabeh city NC.
We were trolling in the sound for around an hour with no luck. We then head up the inland waterway and trolled along the shore that was loaded with moss filled cyprus trees and all kinds of wildlife. I think I heard a Banjo ;D
We were using small red and white rattletrap Lures. Within an hour we had 3 keepers over 18 inches and 5 shorties. We will try again tommorrow. I will post pics when I get home. t^ My 7yr old daughter landed a smallmouth bass casting a lure in the canal behind pops house. ;) chrz chrz
