Forge Pond Lake use to be one of the best Bass lakes on the East Coast.  It was written up in Field & Stream back in the 50's I believe.  Unfortunately the fishing has dropped off significantly.  You still can catch small fish and a bass here and there but the problem the lake is very shallow now.  Over the years debris silt from over building and leaves have taken their toll.

If you want to give it a try your best bet is to park in a small lot just west of the old Laurelton Circle on Rt 70. in Brick.  Look on a map and look where the Metedekonk River passes under Rt 70 there you have it.

Happy Catching
