Hey I'm still searching for a new c.c. I'm looking for a 18'-19'. nothing over 125 hours. I prefer a yamaha 4 stroke for gas saving but also like the newer mercury outboards, and of course Evinrude E-tec. I'm kind of leaning towards a sea hunt. I want something good. The higher the gunnels the better. I also like Wellcraft. Do you guys like Angler, or Mako? I will be fishing inshore maybe upto 10-15 miles out. I don't want to spend more than 20k. If I have to wait I will. Thanks guys. 5hrug slt

I would check the Dealers Phil..
Both the sea hunt and Mako and nice boats.
but I would consider looking into the 21' range for what you want to do
-
hit up the next boat show, search for a boat that fits your needs, then see if it fits your budget, then if all else fails because you can't afford it, you will at least have a good idea what your looking for in a used boat.
-
I would look used. Find a boat that is only a few years old with low hours on the engine. They are out there and you will save a ton of money.
If you are looking to go out 15-20 miles or more, as Rod said, look into a little larger boat. 18-19 foot will be right on the low end size wise for safety. You will have to keep a real keen eye out for the weather. If you had a 21+ foot boat, it would be a little more sea worthy if poor weather kicked up quickly.
Whatever you get, make sure it fits your needs or you will not be happy with it, no matter what make it is.
Most major brand boats will be good, the lower end boats just won't have the bling that the higher end boats have. But bling won't catch you any more fish.
Also, make sure you do a sea trial so you can check out the way it handles in the conditions you expect to be out in.

whs, look into Parkers too, They come standard with Yamaha's. They have a nice 21' cc
-
Parker may be a bit too expensive.
-
Yes, I meant used Parker.. t^
-
Definitely go with a Mako or wellcraft. Mako has a 18 or 19 ft model as well as a 22 i think, but don't quote me on it. Also, you might be interested in a TROPHY
-
I agree with the Mako and Wellcraft recommendation. They are priced right and the quality is good.

sea hunts are great boats I was all over them this winter ,I did alot of research and found them to be a great boat for the money.I just was at the boat show yesterday and I fell in love w/ the 26 cc they came out w/ I was tring to talk my wife into an upgrade but it didnt work.go to the boat show this weekend and talk to the guys there and see for yourself
-
Catfish, get the upgrade without telling her. It's easier to get forgiveness than permission. TT^

Agreed. It's hard to find a better balance between fishability, fit and finish, and durability. Great boats.
