Title: Fishing on the Dauntless
Post by: Wreckfish on March 08, 2008, 02:32:40 PM
Fished on the Dauntless yesterday (Friday).  Fishing was slow. I had 1/2 dozen Ling which was about the same as everyone else give or take a few fish. One cod caught, but not by me.  I think the ling prefer fresh clam to the reused salt bait. Bergalls strips work too, but not as good a fresh clam. Just my opinion, but keep that in mind if you are thinking of making a trip.  Morning was nice, small chop and swells. The wind did kick up later in the day and so did the swells but not unfishable.  Nice crew, always around and helpful.  About 22 other on board.  Next trp March 23 on the Angela Rose for winter flounders ;D

Good report.  Good luck on the winter flounder trip.  Things should be well underway by then.   t^
