Title: Long Island Cod- Easter Sunday (late report)
Post by: crabcake on March 26, 2008, 08:55:39 PM
I did another trip out of the Captree Boat basin on the Tradewinds II this past Easter Sunday and managed to bag 3 jumbo ling & the pool winning codfish.  That fish was one of about 15 keepers boated for the day with a fairly light crowd onboard.  Not great numbers, but still better than what we've experienced in recent years.  In addition to what I kept, I returned a ton of ocean pout (more than I've ever seen), a short cod, some bergalls, and some of the endangered species which seemed more prevelant compared to trips I made earlier this winter.

Nice trip and great that you won the pool!

Yeah, endangered species, I hear ya.  That's like saying about a night club, Oh, no one goes there anymore cause it's too crowded.
