Good article, but that info has been brought out here as well.

The thing the article does not me3ntion it that youcan read the beach after a storm and find out where the clam beds are off the shore.

For instance you can drive along IBSP and literally know where they are by watching for broken clam shells washed up on the beach.  The biggest concentration is down by the Pocket and runs north.  Thast is why that area is so crowded.  But there are other smaller areas as well.

If you are committed to the surf today would of been a good day to get out to view the conditions of the beach.  The Barometer was high enough and the moon is almost New to where the low tide was extremely low.  You could see every rip along the beach.

But the article is right Clams is the way to go.  With the right equipment you should do all right.

But you have to put the time in in order to do well.  So just get out and dunk some clams.

Happy Catching

Paul
