Title: non-skid deck
Post by: LotzoFish on April 04, 2008, 08:58:36 PM
Hello all,

I was wondering how you guys clean your non skid deck, do you apply wax to protect the gelcoat? or just wash?

Woody Wax is made for that. I hear it is good, but a little pricey. Read directions carefully. Tiny bit goes a LONG way.

I used to use it alot, still do.. From my experience, it doesn't ruin anything.  Those decks are make to take a beating.  An old salty trick is also, when fishing to wear all with..  When I was a kid, I med this captain in florida who took up fishing.  He was wearing all white.  I was like, ARE YOU KIDDING..  He said he wears white cause its the easiest thing to clean.. Just bleach.. Very true.  So, don't make fun of those captains who look like they are dressed for a wedding.
