 how you know when to go out for them? do they follow water temps as they rise or what? never went for them, but want to try and get them this year.

party boats and charter captains will know when the bit is on.

Haven't heard of any macks up this end yet. Last several years we really only had a fall/winter run. The spring run always seemed to keep them too far off to run for them.

If you are interested in getting them for fluke bait, Try the rivers for herring instead if the macks don't show..  t^
