 hooked my radio upto the gps today for dsc/distress calls. and need to know what the number is to call to be assigned a mmsi number. had it around here somewhere and lost it.

DO a search here as well. Some of us posted our MMSi#'s a while back and have a few programmed in my new VHF as well.

Can't wait to test out the pooling feature (whereby I user can send me their position via DSC/MMSI and they will pop up on my GPS screen and I can navigate over to their location.

RENAMED MY BOAT YESTERDAY.  WENT TO BOAT US, LOGGED IN TO THE MMSI SITE AND CHANGED THE BOAT NAME.  NO PROBLEM!  ALSO IF YOU CHANGE ADDRESSES OR OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION, BE SURE TO UPDATE IT ON THE MMSI SITE
