Had Casey Alseika charter the boat today with his cousin and 2 sons Zach and Bart. Started out where we caught them yesterday in the morning, found a RIPPING current with the building WNW wind, sat in there for 2 and a half hours and caught grand total of 3 flounder, all keepers. Decided to make a move, got my anchor cinched in the mussel bed real good - wound up popping it.
Tried several other spots in the river, both E and W of the 35 bridge, had 2 more flounder bites, no more fish in the boat. Water was super crystal clear, water temp was right, fish just didn't respond. Man was it a slow day. Hopefully we'll see more fish start moving soon. Great crew, they were a blast to have on the boat as always and can't wait to have them back out this summer for some flukin'.
