Went to the marina with BobG to work on the boat today. My buddy, Captain Bill, was down last week and painted the bottom and waxed the sides. I had to touch up some spot where Bill could not get and do a few other odds and ends.
Went into the marina store and spoke to the owner. He asked when I would have the boat ready to go in. I jokingly told him today. His answer...good, I'll put you right in!
At that, I told him to give me a half hour to put my batteries in and I would be ready.
Batteries installed, bottom touched up, zincs replaced and the boat was put in the slings and given the slow ride to the launch area. Splashed at 1pm.
Cranked the ignition and the Yammie fired right up. Took it out for a spin in the Shark River basin and everything seems to be working fine.
Into the slip, gotta clean up the cockpit and superstructure, put my gear back on and I'm ready to sail.
Nice surprise, wasn't expecting to launch today but couldn't turn down the offer to be put in.
Will make my first trip hopefully someday this upcoming week for stripers and/or blues. Anything to pull the drag. Hope to have a good report to post t^

w0w Holy Crap Joe, It was only last friday you were saying how much cleaning up you had to do. I guess I'm way to picky trying to get things just right before our boat goes in, plus fishing the delaware gets in the way. Catch'em up Joe

Don't get me wrong Skip, I still have cleaning up to do. But that can and will be done in the water. TT^
-
But it the boat is in the water and bass bite gets hot will you still be cleaning?
