This year I'm planning on doing more party boat Fluke fishing than I've done in a while and I'm looking for a new go-to rod that's a little heavier than I would normally use on a private boat but not a broomstick.
I have it narrowed down to a few choices and would like some opinions.
It's going to be paired with a Tica Caiman CA200 levelwind reel.
- Lamiglas Insore Classic IC 70M. 10-20lb line.
I like the IC series. Had a 6'6" model but broke it. $164.00
- Lamiglas Triflex BL 7020C. 10 to 20lb line. $164.00
- Seeker BA708.
Used to have one of these but it got pulled in by a fish when I carelessly laid it on the console instead of putting it in the rod holder. $139.00.
- St Croix Premier PM70MHF. 10 - 20 lb line.
Nice rod for the $$. $120.00
- Crowder Shoreline SLC12. 12-20 lb line.
I have the next ligher one in this series. Also a nice rod for a great price. $85.00
- Star Aeriel EX1220C70. 12 - 20 lb line.
I have a ligher spinning rod in this line that I love. Downright cheap at $54.00

Lamiglas Inshore IC 70M would me my choice.
If you're willing to spend the $$ on the Lamiglas then you might want to consider dropping into Kevin Bogan's shop in Pt. Pleasant you can get one of his custom wrapped sticks for about the same cost.

Lami glass IC's are one hell of a good choice Doc... t^

For BTs under 1.5oz, Lami graphite pop'n sticks are nice too TT^ XPS704 with a small spinner and 14# fireline has taken a lot of fluke, bass, flounder, porgies, and even double-digit# blues. Also been used and abused for about 5years+ now. chrz
